General Sales Manager (GSM) - Automotive Dealership

Kline NissanMaplewood, MN

Salary: $100,000+ per year, depending on experience

Kline Nissan is hiring an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our automotive sales department. The ideal candidate has a proven track record as an Automotive Sales Director, Sales Director, General Sales Manager, or Senior Sales Manager and has successfully led a dealership sales team.

Automotive Sales Director experience is required. Nissan or other franchise dealership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and motivate the dealership sales team
Set and achieve monthly sales, gross profit, and volume objectives
Monitor sales performance, closing ratios, leads, appointments, and gross
Train and develop Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
Manage daily sales operations and dealership processes
Hold the sales team accountable to performance standards
Work with General Management and other departments to improve dealership profitability
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and sales process compliance

Qualifications

Required: Automotive Sales Director experience
Previous experience as a General Sales Manager, Sales Director, or senior automotive sales leader
Proven success managing and developing a sales team
Strong understanding of automotive dealership sales operations
Experience managing sales goals, gross profit, volume, and KPIs
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
Nissan dealership experience is a plus
CDK or other dealership DMS experience is a plus

Compensation

$100,000+ annual compensation
Compensation based on experience and qualifications
